dead stock= new old stock, made in usa in the 70's i think, perhaps 60's or perhaps 80's made by 2 differert companies in the usa, you can see them on the back of the package shown. for many years laces have been made of nylon , thread, that is slippery and comes out of knots easily, cotton is different.these are 100% cotton 4 different solid color& 1 stripes, lengths is 45& 54 . will always be 3different solid colors and 2 stripe, always Pro Keds, maybe not these exact colors but always 3 solids and 2 stripe. of any. great item, great price
